History
Commonly known as "The New Church," we are part of the church formally called the General Church of the New Jerusalem. The Ivyland New Church Society started in 1985 as the Hatboro-Horsham Group, meeting in Hatboro Pennsylvania. We started small but quickly became a fast-growing New Church group, formally becoming a full General Church society in April of 1996. Through the vision and enthusiasm of our first pastor, Rev. Robert Junge, we acquired property on a farm in Bucks County, PA. With the very hard work of our members we transformed a pole and sheet metal barn into what is now our home. Our new church building was dedicated on December 12, 1992.

In 1996 we called our second pastor, Rev. David Lindrooth, who helped us continue to grow and expand our uses. David was then appointed to become the director of outreach for the General Church in 2004. The Rev. Tom Rose became our new pastor and we continue to build our society with new and varied programs. We have a common vision of growing as a society of the General Church, providing a welcoming and useful New Church presence in the community.

Overview
Our morning service takes place in a sanctuary that comfortably seats about 160 people. The children's talk is followed by Nursery and Sunday School, and the adult sermon is followed by a question-and-answer session prior to the postlude, which marks the end of the service and the beginning of fellowship in the Community Room. We have a variety of programs, including classes, discussions, Scripture Study, art classes, breakfast programs, social gatherings and potlucks, bake sales, festivals and more. Our monthly Jazz Vespers Service offers a quiet, reflective service in an informal setting. We also offer a full Montessori School to the community at large.
