Ivyland New Church would love to have you join us at any of our worship services. Our church teaches that the most important way people worship the Lord is by living according to His commandments in their daily lives. The goal of our worship services is to provide time for people to humble themselves before the Lord, raise their minds above daily tasks, learn from the Word, and pray and sing with other people.

Regular Sunday Services:

Traditional family worship service begins at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday. The first part of the service is for the children. It typically lasts 7-10 minutes, where the emphasis is to teach a Bible story in an engaging way.  The younger children are invited to sit up at the very front with some "fun" cushions we have for them, while the pastor will sit and talk with them. Various props are used to illustrate the story and/or the point of the story to help give the children a visual reference as well. At the conclusion of the childrens talk there is a musical interlude when parents may take their children to the nursery or the Sunday School. The final part of the service is a 15-20 minute talk for the teens and adults. Here we strive to present Biblical wisdom in a way that is applies to our daily life. We hope that our services are uplifting, inspiring and provide enough thought provoking material that they can be useful throughout the week. At the conclusion of the service the pastor invites questions and comments from the congregation in an open forum, and this typically lasts 5-10 minutes. Overall, the total Sunday service lasts 45-60 minutes depending on the length of the hymns sung, preaching variation and the amount of Q & A at the end.

Afterwards all are invited to visit in our community room where refreshments are provided.

Sunday School

The purpose of Sunday School is to familiarize children with the stories of the Bible. Parents may choose the right group for their children based on each child's needs and comfort level. Parents are welcome to accompany children and observe or assist with the programs. There is also a teen group, which has regular meetings, fund-raisers or social get-togethers.

Festival and Holiday Services

These services have a compressed format designed to be suitable for all ages. These services typically have a 15 minute talk that is hopefully short enough that the younger children can sit through it, with also enough content to be meaningful to adults. Each holiday has its own special component that highlights the occasion. For more information on holiday services, click here.

Fellowship and refreshments are offered in our community room immediately following our Sunday services.
